The World's First Residential Project Using 3D Printing Technology
The World's First 3D Printed Residential House
The Dutch company Eindhoven has launched the world's first three-dimensional printing project. The project consists of 5 houses and will be carefully printed by researchers from Eindhoven University of Technology in collaboration with Hopin & Van Merlo.
The first one-story house will consist of three rooms, with an area of 1,000 square feet, while the other four will be multi-storey, according to the British newspaper Mirror.
Preliminary images of the project show that the houses will be crooked, based on irregular blocks in the green ocean.
The construction will take a phased approach, where the initial elements of the university will be printed before being moved to the construction site.
The projectors hope the project will highlight the environmental benefits of 3D concrete printed on the construction industry.
